Finned tube, in short fintube, is easily obtainable in copper, aluminium and steel. If you have a more or less agressive environment, like salty water or a chemical mix, it proves more difficult to find a suiting fintube. On customer demand we began to develop fintube. Example: image#1 shows a duplex tube with a certification according to DIN 50.049/3.1b finned with aluminium AlMg3 fins of 0.5 mm thickness, used on an offshore oil rig. Though the years we haven't ceased to developed new bonding techniques. Cunifer and Yorcalbro pipes were fequently used till the beginning of the 1980's. Pipes in Cunifer were used for our very first fintubes. The main purpose of these metals was to get some resistance against seawater;many naval and military vessels are still equiped with them. Today these metals are in a large extend replaced by an extensive choice in stainless steels. AISI 304 and AISI 316 are two types which most distributors of pipe have readily available. Fintubes in AISI 304 or 316 can be supplied by us on short notice. Fintubes in Duplex, Superduplex, Inconel, Hastelloy, all superalloys engineered for typical environments are obtainable on costumer demand. Which fabrication method to use is determined by: #1.tube material #2.fin material #3.bonding method For more info you may want to browse to our online catalog of our FINTUBE PRODUCTION RANGE..
